VLTED — turning sports predictions into a social competition.
Sixyce led the UX/UI redesign of VLTED, an iOS app where sports fans challenge friends, join tournaments and follow live discussions. The goal: make every first tap feel fast, competitive and worth coming back to.

01.The challenge
The MVP worked. The experience felt fragmented.
Early users could make predictions, but a slow onboarding flow delayed the fun. Social interaction was limited, and inconsistent screens made the app feel more like separate features than one polished product.
For sports fans aged 16–30 — highly social, competitive and active across NFL, NBA and MLB — the first experience needed to create momentum immediately.

02.Design process
Fix the fundamentals. Then make competition feel effortless.
Research clarified the audience and its appetite for quick, social play. Accessibility reviews exposed barriers in the existing interface, while rapid prototypes helped simplify each decision in the prediction flow.

03.The redesigned experience
From account creation to the first challenge in under three minutes.
The new experience foregrounded friend challenges, bracket-style tournaments and live sports conversation — the behaviours most likely to create frequent, social use.
Clear onboarding, purposeful notifications and playful micro-animations made wins, predictions and tournament updates more immediate and rewarding.

04.Built to scale
Not just polished screens. A product system for what comes next.
A custom Figma design system paired the bold purple identity with reusable tokens, responsive components, variants and sports iconography. New features could move faster without making the product feel patched together again.
